About
Jim is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Otago Christchurch (UOC), and is a practising Musculoskeletal physician in private practice. He is responsible for the academic co-ordination of the distance taught suite of Musculoskeletal and Pain papers emanating from the department of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Medicine, Christchurch. This involves creating, maintaining, and overseeing the delivery of academic material involved in these Diploma and Masters courses.
As a private musculoskeletal practitioner and specialist, his interests are in spinal pain intervention techniques for patients with chronic spinal pain, and all common musculoskeletal problems. Interventions include all peripheral joint injections, diagnostic medial branch facet joint blocks, percutaneous thermal radiofrequency neurotomy, and transforaminal corticosteroid injection for nerve root compromise. Jim is happy to see any and all patients with a primary musculoskeletal or pain problem.
